As the head of the Civil Registry Agency (2006-2010) Giorgi Vashadze initiated and implemented systems of biometric passports, ID cards, digital signature, citizen portal, unified Demographic Registry, visual recognition, accelerated services, remote services etc. Besides, Giorgi Vashadze being a Deputy Minister of Justice was in charge of the establishment of Public Service Halls (2011). Which had a concept based on the principle of "Everything in One Place". Consequently, the project got the most prestigious United Nations Public Service Awards in 2012 due to its excellence in public service
